In addition to our featured speakers, Maria Clara Martinez, a veteran genealogical researcher and prolific author, will again be joining us for the day with her vast database of genealogy. Mrs. Martinez has compiled an extensive database consisting of over 70,000 well-researched and credible genealogical lines and has written numerous books on Hispanic families of the Southwest United States, each containing invaluable genealogical information. She has recently been revising and updating a number of them, as so much new information has become available over the past several years and has now republished some of them and will have them available for sale. She is always willing to help researchers look up their family lines on her database. She currently resides in the San Luis Valley and is editor of La Sierra newspaper. Be sure to take advantage of this chance to spend some valuable time with her!
